Diesel generators and HVO fuel
HVO fuel (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) is a fossil-free paraffinic diesel, meaning it can be used as a direct replacement for mineral diesel fuel.
Made from certified waste materials, HVO therefore supports the circular economy and helps to reduce net CO2 greenhouse gas emissions by up to 90%.
The new genset regulation
A more restrictive legislation came into effect the 1st of January 2019 regarding polluting emissions, limiting the harmful substances originating from engines which operate on fossil fuel. These substances include nitrogen oxides (NOx), carbon oxide (CO), hydrocarbons (HC), particulate matter (PM) and control of the particle number (PN). The 2016/1628/CE or Stage V legislation is applied to Non-Road Mobile Machinery Directive (NRMM)
